Director of Interiors, King Aerospace

The Boeing Business Jet series serve as true VVIP transportation, whether the very, very important person onboard is a head of state or an industry titan. At King Aerospace, we specialize in these industry-leading corporate aircraft based on the Boeing 737 and 757 narrow-body and the 747, 767 and 777 wide-body airliners.

Since joining King Aerospace early this year as director of interiors, I’ve been in a number of conversations about our BBJ services. They run the gamut of aircraft needs, whether that’s a complete interior refurbishment or the latest regulatory update.

bbj services for cabin management systems

BBJ Services in the Cockpit and the Cabin

Due to the size and multizonal floor planning of a BBJ, these ultra-long-range aircraft have intricate avionics, cabin management, inflight entertainment (IFE) and other interior components. Each system should work in harmony – not only ensuring safe operation but also creating an ideal aircraft cabin experience.

A BBJs cabin atmosphere becomes especially important during transglobal flights, during which an entire workday and night might be spent in the air. Our in-house team of interior designers and installers serves to bring our clients the comfort, sophistication and style they need to travel well.

A sampling of the BBJ interior services we offer includes:

  • Complete refurbishment – from new floor plans to finishing
  • Installing Custom Control Concepts, Ovation and Venue cabin management systems (CMS)
  • Replacing fluorescent lighting with LEDs
  • Transitioning to nontextile floor coverings (NTF)
  • Updating fabrics across flooring and furnishings

We’re also an authorized dealer for Collins Aerospace, Honeywell and Gogo. In fact, in 2018, our technicians installed the first-ever Gogo Biz 4G Wi-Fi system on a BBJ alongside a SATCOM system upgrade.

The BBJ MRO

Reducing downtime is easy when owners can get all the BBJ services they need at one location: King Aerospace. We are an authorized FAA and EASA Repair Station and have certifications from Mexico and Bermuda. King Aerospace is also a GE OnPointTM service center, providing engine maintenance and repair for BBJ CFM56-7B engines.

Specializing in light-to-heavy maintenance on Boeing 737s, our BBJ MRO services include:

  • A-Checks
  • B-Checks
  • C-Checks
  • 1-Month to 144-Month Checks

Paint Services that Need No Introduction

Paint is another service that can be scheduled to complement interior work. Since our founding in 1992, we have earned a reputation in the industry as an exceptional VVIP aircraft paint facility.

Paint offerings include:

  • Corrosion detection and correction
  • Full strip and restriping
  • Highly complex custom designs
  • VVIP registration changes

We know owners want an experienced group of professionals to install, repair or upgrade the multifaceted systems in their BBJ. King Aerospace technicians fit the bill. We provide our clients with avionics, CMS and IFE products that are easy to operate, functional, reliable and supported long after we complete our work.

Our Quality in Everything, No Excuses approach also guarantees an aircraft interior designed and built with durable, quality products perfectly aligned with our clients’ desired outcomes. Additionally, MRO and paint services at King Aerospace are renowned in the industry for quality.
