Trust and Respect are Key in Partnership with Denmar Technical Services

The importance of honesty and trust in building healthy relationships are as critical in business as they are in life. King Aerospace is honored to enjoy a trustworthy, productive and mutually beneficial partnership with Denmar Technical Services (DTS).

Based in Reno, NV with locations in Las Vegas and Ohio, the 43-year-old aerospace firm provides engineering services to Lockheed, Boeing and Northrop Grumman, and maintains a pair of testbed aircraft for the United States government.

“We’re ‘engineering heavy and maintenance light,’ if you will,” says DTS President Robert “Woody” Nolan. “King Aerospace focuses on aircraft maintenance and contractor logistics support. We overlap in some areas, but we aren’t direct competitors. That enables us to have a collaborative relationship.”

As one example of that partnership, DTS enlisted King Aerospace to replace the landing gear on a Boeing 737 operated by one of their clients. “We had a very tight timeline to deliver that, and they met that timeline,” Nolan says.

Moreover, terms and conditions of that collaboration were “very simple and very fair,” he continues. “Often there might be several hundreds of pages of terms and conditions to do those kinds of things, and no real guarantee the job will be done right the first time.

“That was not the case with King Aerospace,” Nolan emphasizes. “They did what they said, which is a really important part of any relationship. And that’s not always the case in today’s business environment.”

In another important example of the collaborative nature of their partnership, Denmar’s technicians were able to examine the work as it was performed by King’s technicians. “They let us watch; they let us babysit,” Nolan says. “That increased our confidence even more about their ability to do the work.”

Shared Values, Shared Purpose

That shared purpose and commitment to the customer also led the two companies to collaborate on a major U.S. government aircraft program. “The government needs a qualified workforce in a timely manner to help deliver the final result,” Nolan says. “Denmar is working together with King Aerospace to deliver quality service at a fair price.”

“King Aerospace’s commitment to our country, and to their employees, makes it easy for me to work with them,” Nolan adds. “They’ve demonstrated that they’re trustworthy and competent through their work performance, time and again. That is so important.”

Similarly, King Aerospace President Jarid King is quick to note what makes Denmar Technical Services a valued partner for the company.

“It’s tough today to find other companies that align with our Cornerstone Principles and our commitment to servant leadership,” he says. “We’re both entrepreneurial enterprises that share core values and a commitment to service to our country.

“I’m incredibly pleased with the relationship we’ve developed with Woody and Denmar Tech,” King continues, “and I look forward to many more collaborations in the future.”

Nolan agreed, noting the partnership between DTS and King Aerospace is built on simple, fair business terms and mutual respect. “King Aerospace, and the King family, treat my 120 employees very well and they welcome the talents that my employees have.

“I want to do business with people that I trust,” he concludes. “I trust King Aerospace.”
