TIS THE SEASON

How many times have we heard the words “Tis the Season?” My crazy mind says, “Every day should be the season.” It’s the season:

….to count our blessings       ….to be thankful                ….to ask for forgiveness

….to show appreciation         ….to have a kind heart      ….to be good stewards

….to remember loved ones   ….to have hope                  …to be humble

….to show mutual respect     ….to pray for others          ….to seek wisdom

 ….to enjoy peace                    ….to love others                ….to be a friend and good neighbor

….to discipline our minds, our tongues and bodies

….to demonstrate doing the right things for the right reasons with the right attitude.

May you and those we encounter feel our commitment to the season all days as reflected in one of my favorite biblical scriptures:

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8:

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven;

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to gain, and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

With God and through God, all things are possible in all seasons of life!
