RESPECT, TRUST AND DECISIONS

Respect and trust are two of the King Aerospace Cornerstone Principles that guide us in all that we do and say. Over the past several months these two words have been on my mind more than ever. I think about what they mean when it comes to the positions that people take regarding various social and health issues. As the senior leader of our organization, I strive to honor and respect everyone’s views and opinions. I truly feel the obligation to protect and honor everyone’s rights and mission as I daily strive to earn and maintain the trust of our employees, vendors and customers.
As a defense contractor, King Aerospace is being forced to comply with the mandate that the United States government issued regarding COVID vaccines. It is my position that my job is to make sure that everyone’s rights are protected. I am not to judge who is right or who is wrong. I am not to let my personal opinions influence any decisions regarding other people’s rights. I have to ensure that I am able to provide for my family and preserve King Aerospace’s ability to serve our Country as a defense contractor. We have retained experts to ensure that we are complying with all of the appropriate rules and protocols. I directed our experts to create accommodations for each group of employment positions before making any decisions on whether to grant any exemption requests. It is my sincere intention that we be fair to everyone, regardless of name, title or position. I have tried hard to make sure, as best as is humanly possible, that we honor and respect each individual’s decisions and beliefs.
Of our approximate 450 employees, about 30 people have expressed a desire to be granted an exemption based on religious or medical reasons. I am adamant that the experts we use to make this decision be fair and consistent. I pray that we have met this objective. May God be with us all and may our words and actions support our commitment to our values and principles regardless of the topic.
God Bless America and let us not forget the reason we celebrate Christmas. For me, every day is Christmas because of my many blessings, especially those people who wear our Gold Wings and those we are blessed to serve! Merry Christmas!
