KING AEROSPACE AWARDED US COAST GUARD CONTRACT FOR AIRCRAFT PAINT SERVICES

Ardmore, Okla. (June 19, 2017) – KING AEROSPACE Commercial Corporation (KACC), was awarded a 5-year contract by the US Coast Guard (USCG) for USCG HC-144 and HC-27J Aircraft Paint Services.
The USCG operates 18 modified HC-144 Maritime Patrol Aircraft manufactured by Airbus Military and is acquiring 14 of the HC-27J aircraft to further the Medium Range Surveillance (MRS) mission of the USCG. Both the HC-144 and HC-27J aircraft require Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) Inspection every four years, which includes a required external paint.
As USCG missions consistently expose these aircraft to corrosive salt water environments, they require a high quality, well-applied aircraft paint system to protect them from the elements. According to Randy Johnson, KACC director of corporate aircraft services with nearly 30 years of aircraft paint experience, “We believe the U.S. Coast Guard recognized our craftsmen go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional exterior paint, guaranteeing a finish that can take on the harsh salt water environment. The contract is to paint nine aircraft per year for five years with a total estimated contract value of $8.2M.
